BlueLight Fire Engineering can provide ongoing site-based and remote support to healthcare providers during all stages of their projects, offering an oversight and management of compliance role during design, installation, commissioning, and handover.

Project works on healthcare sites often involve project teams formed of independent designers, contractors and engineers. As a direct appointment to the healthcare provider, BlueLight Fire Engineering sit outside of the project team reviewing all relevant elements of the works, attending design and project meetings, attending site inspections during construction works and ensuring all required commissioning and handover activities are completed adequately.

Our project support services include design reviews, fire strategy reviews, implementation of emergency temporary strategies, inspections of construction works at a frequency determined by the client, issuing of reports confirming compliance and any areas where further works are required. Each project is different and we provide project specific and bespoke solutions depending on the exact requirements of each client and project.

Where projects are extensive and include elements such as the retrospective installation of suppression systems and works which require fire engineering justifications and mitigations, we are able to provide Building Safety Case Reports authored in collaboration with all relevant parties, regulators and enforcing authorities. A Safety Case is a comprehensive assessment and report identifying potential fire safety risks and the potential consequences from these risks. The Safety Case sets out building specific mitigation and control measures and engineered solutions which can be relied upon for ensuring a suitable level of life safety and comparable standard of compliance are both achieved.
