Fire Safety Inspections
Regular fire safety inspections are a legal requirement across many different building types and are essential for helping to guarantee buildings are safe for all building occupants and employees.
Carrying out frequent fire door inspections, compartmentation inspections and Fire Risk Assessments allow non-compliances and maintenance issues to be identified and then quickly and safely rectified so that the standard of fire safety within a building is not compromised.
BlueLight Fire Engineering are experts in carrying out Fire Risk Assessments across different types of building infrastructure, often being appointed to carry out FRAs for a client's entire property portfolio. We carry out a review of all relevant maintenance documentation, attend site to complete a thorough inspection and assessment and then issue a comprehensive FRA document clearly setting out the significant issues and non-compliances and the actions required to rectify these. We also work with our clients after FRAs have been issued to keep under review all identified issues and any changes to a building which may require a full review of the FRA to be completed.
Alongside FRAs, regular inspections including full fire door surveys, damper inspections and passive fire inspections of the compartmentation and fire stopping in a building, form an important part of maintaining a consistently high standard of fire safety. BlueLight Fire Engineering work with experienced and knowledgeable contractors who provide rigorous full building inspections identifying defects and areas of non-compliance. We are then able to provide detailed reports and inspection data to our clients helping them understand the issues present in a building, the works required to rectify those issues and how a building can be safely managed to help maintain a high standard of fire safety.
